Inviting you to experience
the guitar equipment of the world's greatest guitarist, which you can now use in your performances!
When you think about modern electric guitars, there is one person who always comes to mind. You can't talk about modern electric guitars without mentioning the legendary Jimi Hendrix. November 27th, 2012, was the 70th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix's birth. To celebrate, we decided to release this new collection of very precisely accurate models of Jimi Hendrix's vintage equipment.
Sound Alchemist - The Jimi Hendrix Method
His sound was a unique combination of overdriven tube amps, feedback controls, and the distinctive use of stompboxes, which was highly unconventional at the time. Jimi Hendrix was one of the first guitarists to experiment with the expressive power of electronic effects, and he was one of the first to produce truly experimental sounds. And it was the foundation of his sound. Because electronic effects were technically new in the 60s, Jimi Hendrix was also called a pioneer for using them in various ways to create guitar tones that had never been heard before. Now, I can use the same thing myself.
The AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection is an officially licensed gear collection that models the equipment Jimi Hendrix actually used in the studio and on stage and now includes new gear. Now, you can create guitar tones using the same equipment that was used to create the Jimi Hendrix sound, which is still recognized today as "the definitive electric guitar sound." The sound is reminiscent of the good old Woodstock days, but it also sounds incredibly fresh and modern.
The AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection features 34 vintage Jimi Hendrix gear pieces, including 7 amps, 7 cabinets, 5 microphones, 11 stompboxes, and four rack effects!
The newly added SilverTwelve is modeled on the Silvertone Twin Twelve 1484 and features a sparkling distortion and a big, clean tone. JH Gold is modeled on the Marshall JTM 45 that Jimi Hendrix used in 1968, using IK Multimedia's DSM and SCC modeling technology. The JH 1200 is modeled on the Sunn 1200S, a powerful tube bass head amp used by both guitarists and bassists. The EP Tape Echo is a tape echo modeled on the Maestro Echoplex, providing that echo sound that has always been so popular.
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection can be used as an app that allows you to use a 4-track recorder and Speed Trainer for practicing or as a plug-in that provides a treasure trove of guitar tones on your DAW.
You can install it all at once or
individually as you wish.
AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix Anniversary Collection can be used on our flagship software AmpliTube (or AmpliTube 3 FREE), and you can add Jimi Hendrix gear using the AmpliTube Custom Shop feature, which is compatible with all AmpliTube products. In other words, you can either buy this collection of gear "all in" using the AmpliTube Custom Shop, or you can buy just the great gear you really need. Use it however you like.
