Immerse yourself in the charm of Fulltone
We will introduce the Fulltone Collection for AmpliTube for Mac/PC. We will deliver the sound of handmade effectors that have been loved for a long time, from classics to moderns; all musicians, not just guitarists, can use that.
Guitarist Michael Fuller founded Fulltone in 1991 with the idea of reproducing the sounds of old, fragile vintage models in stompboxes that were easy to use, robust, and durable.
Today, Fulltone is highly rated as a brand of high-end handmade effectors. As a collaboration project between IK and Fulltone, three Fulltone effect models have been digitally reproduced as gear models that can be used with AmpliTube for Mac/PC.
“Back to the future”
The Fulltone Collection includes three powerful effects units that can be used by not only guitarists but also keyboard players, composers, producers, sound designers, and mixing engineers for everything from music production to more creative sound design. All of them are indispensable tools for realizing creative ideas. You can use the sensitivity and magic of the original equipment in the AmpliTube workflow. The possibilities of the Fulltone Collection are endless.
Model Introduction
TERC ? That 880'sRack Chorus! 880'sRack Chorus
The original TERC model was developed to recreate the sound of the extremely hard-to-find Dyno My Piano 3-phase stereo chorus, which was sold under the product names Songbird or Dytronics. Its dense, gorgeous, grand, and elegant sound dominated the music scene of the 1980s and was used by famous guitarists such as Michael Landau, Steve Lukather, and Dan Huff. Even today, as mentioned in many guitar Pedias, this three-phase stereo chorus is still talked about as one of the chorus sounds that symbolized the 1980s.
In preset mode, you can get the modulation effect that creates the very attractive undulating sound that was the most popular feature of the original hardware. In Manual mode, you can control the effect intensity and modulation depth independently, from subtle to spacious and deep sounds.
However, please don't think of this "0s Rack Chorus" as just a retro, nostalgic machine. It can be used not only for guitar tracks but also for synth, vocal, bass, and drum tracks. Try out various settings in combination with SSTE. You'll be surprised at the wide range of effects you can get. This machine is a modern model that is still alive today.
SSTE ? Solid State Tape Echo
The SSTE is a solid-state circuit version of the Echoplex EP-3, a vintage tape echo machine. The Echoplex EP-3 is a popular machine, but due to the quality of its tape head, it often produced a lot of hiss noise, sometimes accompanied by hum noise. On the other hand, the Fulltone SSTE greatly improved these problems and the response, expanding the possibilities for sound design. This gear model is a model of the SSTE in the form of a virtual rack. It also has a function for synchronizing to the tempo of the DAW, further expanding the possibilities for sound creation.
You can also move the tape head to create interesting effects that seem to waver. Try daisy-chaining SSTE units with different tape speed settings in series. You'll probably get effects you never imagined. On the computer, you can experiment with various things without the limitations inherent in tape.
TThat'snot all. This gear model can also add the analog saturation effect that tape inherently possesses. In addition, it also has a function that switches between the Fulltone version preamp and the Echoplex version preamp. You can even control the color of the sound from various aspects, such as switching the high-frequency response of the tape or adjusting the RECORD LEVEL parameter to adjust the degree of saturation effect added to the effect sound.
Fulltone says, “If you're really picky; pedals can't compare to what a good amp can do. Not only do you lose touch, but you lose complex harmonics. Using an overdrive pedal has always been a compromise. At least, until now.”
Fulltone
OCD
This overdrive pedal is already a classic. The original model is a stompbox that has gained a strong following for its ability to produce the feel of a high-quality tube amp and its warm, thick, complex overtones. By combining the gain setting and LP/HP setting, you can create a wide range of sounds.
You can also try out various settings by freely combining setups from the huge collection of AmpliTube amps and cabinets. The OCD is the final touch that makes the Fulltone Collection perfect for use in any genre.
The Fulltone Collection for AmpliTube can be purchased from the IK Online Store or the AmpliTube Custom Shop. At the Custom Shop, you can also purchase each of the gear models included in the Fulltone Collection individually.
