Product Overview
Recorded by Damon Tedesco at Fox Studios' Newman Scoring Stage, this Orchestral Brass library captures the bright, articulate sound that brings our favorite movies and TV shows to life.
From classics to moderns, the Newman Scoring Stage boasts countless titles, including The Mandalorian, Avatar, Thor: Love & Thunder, The Matrix, Pinocchio, 1917, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jaws, Westside Story, and more, and now you can have the sound of the industry-defining Newman Scoring Stage in your hands.
Industry Brass Core has patches for the Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, and Tuba. With a full range of articulations and FX, it has everything you need to score everything from personal short films to AAA video games and feature films.
It has five unique mixes and microphone positions for ultimate flexibility.
These include a dry mix, wet mix, close microphone, room microphone, and surround microphone.
These mixes and microphone positions are designed to ensure that Industry Brass Core will fit in any mix, any environment, and any track. In addition, articulation mapping presets are provided, so you can spend your time composing instead of fiddling with knobs.
The Newman Scoring Stage delivers a bright, immediate sound that maintains clarity even when the largest sections of the score are playing. It is the perfect solution for any piece that requires a flexible brass section, whether it's an intense action scene or an intimate musical moment.
We are proud to have captured such a wonderful, timeless sound, and we are excited to be able to offer it to composers around the world.
Presets
To reflect the impact that the Newman Scoring Stage has had on the industry and music in general, we have included “color” presets. These presets are designed to more accurately reflect the sound of Industry Brass in various periods of film scoring to which the Stage has contributed.
GOLDEN ERA
The iconic Hollywood sound of the 1930s was the product of all the idiosyncrasies of the technology available at the time, recording tools, devices, and formats with a narrower frequency range and higher noise floor than today. Since there was no multi-track recording, the entire ensemble was recorded with a single microphone, resulting in a monophonic recording, and the balance between the instruments was achieved through room balance.
TIMELESS
The 1950s were a time of monophonic recording, but technical improvements in the 1930s made it possible to achieve multi-track stereo playback, a low noise floor, and a slight improvement in frequency band fidelity.
BLOCKBUSTER
The sound of the 1980s was defined by the introduction of Dolby Stereo and the THX system. Dynamic range, frequency response, and overall fidelity have improved dramatically.
MODERN
Modern: This represents the sound of today's stage, shaped by Damon Tedesco.
