Focusing on the exceptional and distinctive sound of YAMAH's CS family of analog synthesizers between 1979 and 1984, UVI has developed a software instrument that inherits the sound of the CS-70M, CS-40M, CS-20M, and CS-01. The UVI CS-M is a dual-layered, dual-playback software sound source.

The UVI CS-M features a dual-layer architecture with two presets/layers, quick tone switching for a wide range of sounds, and ease of use. The layer contains basic oscillator waveforms and noises as programmed presets. All of these waveforms are sampled from the original models. UVI's development team has succeeded in maintaining the great sounds and natural textures of these models in the CS-M. All waveforms for each of the available models were rigorously recorded. The unison and ensemble sounds are particularly noteworthy.
