Klevgrand's upgraded Haaze v2 is an elegant solution for controlling stereo width and spatial placement of sounds in a stereo mix. The usual L-R pan is still a weak tool that is not suited for "real-world" acoustics. This is especially true when trying to naturally place mono sounds in a stereo mix (especially headphones). The result is still a powerful "mono" feeling. Haaze is an audio plug-in that makes positioning more natural, understandable, and pleasing to the ear. It divides the audio signal into 16 frequency bands. In each band, you can delay the left or right signal (thereby giving the listener the illusion of hearing the sound from the side that reaches the ear first), pan left or right, or adjust the overall width of that band (for example, concentrating lower frequencies in the center over higher frequencies). Haaze can also be used to spread and widen a mono signal.
