Esspresso is a de-esser that delivers speedy, powerful, and beautiful results for everyone who does audio recording. In the past, de-essers were intended for advanced professional audio producers who needed complete control over the dental grinding (high-frequency noise) in their mixes. Abrasive noise can cause problems throughout the sound. For example, when adding "crisp" tones to audio and processing the EQ, the "S" can become distorted, making it challenging to balance the mix. The uniqueness of Esspresso is that the detection frequency range is not coupled to the suppressor frequency range. This means that it is possible to hear specific frequencies and compress others. This is also the specification used in many professional deessers. By using the speedy and accurate frequency response view, you can quickly and ultimately control the extra "S" sound that can ruin your mix.
