LIL FrEQ is an Empirical Labs-style chameleon EQ that can produce a wide variety of analog textures.

It features a shelf section consisting of a high shelving EQ with a silky airiness and a low shelving EQ with a rich, majestic thickness, a 4-band fully parametric EQ section that delivers precise equalization with incredibly low distortion, an original high-pass filter that adds a warm texture like a vintage EQ, and a dynamic section (also featuring a De-Esser mode) that can produce analog tape saturation inherited from FATSO.

It also features two types of output: Class A transformer output and transformerless output, allowing you to choose depending on your sound quality preferences.

Individual sections can be bypassed (the dynamic section can also be switched between post- and pre-EQ), allowing you to freely combine unique functions as needed.

From uncolored, mastering-quality equalization, to Empirical Labs' signature vintage-inspired control, and even superior tape simulation that sounds as if it were recorded to analog tape, everything is achieved through a combination of realistic and complex analog circuits.
