The world's first time machine
Continuing the legacy of the H910 pitch shifter, the H949 was Eventide's first deglitch pitch shifter. Manufactured from 1977 to 1984, the H949 introduced micro-pitch, which used a unique single-sideband modulation technique to precisely control small pitch shifts. The H949 featured unique effects such as flange, reverse, and random pitch.

The description at the time of release is as follows:
Digital delay line, pitch changer, and all-purpose special effects unit. ""TIME REVERSAL"" is a brand new feature. Use the Harmonizer R as a variable speed tape recorder to shorten or lengthen program material over time without changing the pitch.

All the features of the H949, beloved by Jimmy Page and beloved by Suzanne Ciani, are recreated in this plug-in. From basic engineering and sound sculpting work to creating devilish space robots, the H949 is made to inspire.

■ Pitch change with deglitch
The H949 algorithm uses a unique auto-correlation algorithm to determine intelligent splicing. The user can ""dumb down"" this algorithm. Selecting a simple crossfade algorithm gives you a characteristic glitch.

■ Turn the knob
The old-school ""UI"" allows you to finish the desired sound just by turning the knob.

■ Double down
This native plug-in version also includes ""H949 Dual"", which reproduces the popular technique of arranging two units in parallel. It allows you to perform rich doubling, stereo widening, and pitch up and down simultaneously.
