Looptrotter's world-renowned solid-state saturation circuit adds lower harmonics and smooths and evens out the sound in a musical and ear-friendly way.

SA2RATE 2 employs two unique circuits to avoid the most common problems associated with oversaturation.

""LO Safe"" prevents distortion at the lowest frequencies, allowing sources like kicks, bass, drum groups, and mix buses to maintain low-frequency power and clarity.
""HI Smooth"" boosts the high frequencies before the saturation circuit and attenuates them afterwards, providing deeper saturation and high-frequency transient control, delivering better performance without adding harshness.

- Easily set the perfect character without overdoing it
SA2RATE 2's Drive control adjusts the input level and saturation depth at once, with two LEDs that light up at THD 4% and 8% to show the amount of added harmonics.
Independent DRY and WET signal controls allow the perfect blend of processed and dry signals, allowing the plugin to sound very subtle and slightly colored, or bold and aggressive at 100% saturation.

Brainworx engineers have added new digital-only features to this emulation. The LO Safe & HI Smooth filters have been further upgraded and their center frequencies can now be tuned to your liking.
We've also added Looptrotter's summing mixer SATUR's ""Magic"" function, which warms up the entire mix, opens it up, and gives it a wide, vibrant analog feel.
