FG-Comp is designed to preserve all the punch and transients of your mix.

FG-Level is an intelligent processor whose algorithm analyzes the input signal and decides whether to apply saturation or limiting based on the unique frequency content of your track.

FOUR LIMITERS ONE PLUGIN
The FG-X2 features four carefully designed modes to cover everything from crystal clear limiting that prevents pumping to loud processing with gorgeous colorful saturation. Once you find the sound you're looking for, adjust the overall level with the Gain knob.

■Main Features

FG-Comp
FG-Comp is a completely transparent compressor dedicated to mix bus and mastering work. Whether you want to enhance the dynamics of your mix, make it sound more compact, add some glue, or control the dynamics of the signal before it goes into the limiter, FG-Comp has you covered.

FG-Level
FG-Level is an intelligent processor that mixes saturation and limiting, allowing you to maximize loudness while preserving the energy and impact of the original sound. It analyzes the input signal and decides whether to apply saturation or limiting based on the frequency content.

Metering Section
The metering section allows you to visualize your signal in different ways.
The time graph on the left allows you to visualize the gain reduction (red), LUFS/RMS (blue), and peak/true peak (white) signals over time. The gain reduction signal comes only from FG Level. LUFS/RMS and Peak/TruePeak are measured at the output of the plugin.

The two vertical meters show the same signals as the time graph.

The histogram on the right shows how these three signals accumulate over time. For example, a wide curve in the blue histogram (LUFS) indicates a dynamic track with a lot of loudness variation.

The needle meter offers an older way to visualize loudness or RMS. You can also switch to Mid/Side visualization and adjust the boundaries as needed.

The horizontal meter allows you to visualize the loudness or RMS (blue) and peak (white) of the left and right channels. You can adjust the meter boundaries as needed.

Presets
The preset browser consists of two tabs: Audio and Metering.

Audio presets
Audio presets store all FG-Comp and FG-Level parameters that affect audio. By design, Gain, Ceiling, True Peak Limiting, Dither, and monitoring options are not saved in presets.

Metering presets
You can save your favorite metering settings. It already contains the latest settings recommended by all major streaming platforms.

Old FG-X users can use FG-X2 with their existing iLok license.

(*Requires iLok2 or iLok3. If you are using FG-X with the original iLok, you will need to prepare a new iLok2 or iLok3 and register it to the same iLok ID as your current iLok to transfer your FG-X license.)
