KORG/drumlogue is a hybrid drum machine that combines authentic analog sound with digital flexibility.
[Features]
■Genuine analog power
drumlogue was conceived to bring the ultimate analog sound to your beats, and it has been brilliantly realized with a completely new analog circuit developed by Mr. Ikeuchi, a legendary engineer on the KORG analog synth team who worked on the ARP 2600 M, MS-20 mini, ARP Odyssey, and other products, and with a depth and richness of sound that can be said to have reached a new realm.
These new analog circuits for the bass drum, snare, and toms not only provide a solid foundation for your tracks, but also make them stand out with their rich harmonics and low-end thickness.
Combining simplicity and ease of use, the most important controls for each part are equipped with dedicated knobs on the front panel. You can edit sounds quickly and intuitively on the spot at any time without looking at a menu.
And the edit system installed in each part allows you to access even more parameters and pursue your sound.
■Digital flexibility
As the best partner for the analog section, drumlogue has a total of seven digital parts, including six sample sound sources and one synthesis sound source (multi-engine). The sample parts can play the PCM sound sources preset in drumlogue. The 128 drum kits preset in drumlogue cover a wide range of sounds across many genres, so you can easily start creating tracks.
You can also input user samples into the memory. To add user samples, simply connect drumlogue to your computer with a USB cable and drag and drop the sample file.
■Multi-engine and logue SDK
The multi-engine, which was also installed in prologue and minilogue xd, has become even more powerful. In addition to the VPM sound source and noise generator, drumlogue's multi-engine is equipped with a user custom slot that plays authentic synth sounds, showing you the possibilities of new sounds never heard in drum machines before.
In addition, following the tradition of prologue and miniloguexd, drumlogue also has an API (Application Programming Interface), which allows anyone to expand the possibilities of the hardware by developing plug-ins called ""units"". Using the drumlogue SDK (Standard Development Kit), you can create custom synthesizers, delays, reverbs, and master effect units and load them into drumlogue via USB connection (mass storage device mode).
■Includes Sinevibes synth plug-in ""Nano""
In collaboration with popular plug-in developer ""Sinevibes"" for the logue SDK, the all-new synth plug-in ""Nano"" is included in the drumlogue presets. This dedicated plug-in fully explores the power of the new multi-engine, delivering the unique sounds of this new platform to all drumlogue users.
""Nano"" is a full-fledged virtual analog synthesizer with a wealth of functions and numerous parameters. The synth engine features dual oscillators with ring modulation, a 4-pole state variable filter with soft clipping distortion, a built-in EG, and a built-in multi-waveform LFO.
■Sequencing powerhouse
drumlogue harnesses all of its sonic power in a powerful built-in sequencer that is flexible and easy to use.
You can intuitively create complex rhythmic patterns and polyrhythms to take your music production to the next level.
The sequencer with up to 64 steps makes sequences easier to follow visually.
Chain mode makes it easy to create long and attractive rhythmic patterns, and the screen clearly displays them. Loop mode allows you to play sequences in new and unique ways with several variations. The Motion and Accent recording functions are also intuitive and quick to use, and there is also a Randomization function when you want to try something new with your tracks.
■High-quality effects and high customizability
drumlogue features multiple high-quality effects in three categories. Delay, reverb, and master effects can all be used simultaneously.
The delay and reverb send amounts can be adjusted for each part, and the routing can be freely changed.
The master effects add the finishing touch to your sound and tie everything together. The master effects can be bypassed for each part, or you can apply the effect only to a specific part. A sidechain bus is also available for the master effects.
In addition to the wide variety of effects available, drumlogue can also load third-party effects.
Each effect can implement up to 24 parameters, all easily accessible from the menu.
drumlogue has an audio input, so you can connect other instruments through the drumlogue effects to create your ideal setup.
■High connectivity drumlogue has a variety of inputs, outputs and connections, allowing it to seamlessly integrate with your existing equipment.
drumlogue's USB-A port can be connected to other USB MIDI-compatible devices for added customizable control. For example, you can adjust the volume of each part with the nanoKONTROL2 fader or trigger sounds with the nanoPAD2 velocity-sensitive pads for even more expressiveness.
drumlogue has four individual outputs in addition to the headphone and main LR outputs. Each part can be assigned to any output, allowing you to freely configure the routing for external effects and multi-track recording.
drumlogue can also be easily synchronized with other equipment via MIDI IN/OUT and SYNC IN/OUT, or with a DAW on a computer via USB.
■ Simple UI drumlogue is not only powerful, it is also extremely easy to use.
Designed with a focus on simplicity and ease of use, the most important parameters of the main drum part have dedicated knobs on the front panel so you can edit them on the spot. Volume knobs for each part also speed up the mixing process.
The wide, clear OLED screen has a simple UI with four dedicated encoder knobs, allowing for fast and smooth operation.
■Inspirational design
Unlike many other drum machines, drumlogue's main panel is angled to provide ergonomic and excellent visibility. With its sturdy aluminum body, hairline finish, and wooden side panels, drumlogue's sleek and optimized design is sure to inspire your music.
