The ACME Opticom XLA-3 is a powerful and flexible opto-compressor.
This plug-in was developed in close cooperation with Brainworx.

It has brilliant tube sounds in steel-covered military-grade components.
Please put it on a drum bus and get solid, seamless LA-2A-style leveling.
Put a vocal through the input, and it adds "grit" to even the weakest takes.

The unique "Amp Mode" adds harmonic color to the signal without touching the dynamics.

The XLA-3 has three types of compression. Each compression produces an entirely different sound.

Brainworx has faithfully emulated the XLA-3 and incorporated these features in plug-in form.
The plug-in version adds several new features, including a parallel mix knob, output trim control, and adjustable noise floor. All of the complex and beautiful behavior of the hardware is faithfully reproduced in the plug-in version.

Drive the input sound. Set the behavior. Adjust the levels to your liking. That's all there is to it.
