-Impactful design
The original hardware Vertigo VSC-2 Quad Discrete Compressor established a great reputation due to the four custom hand-built discrete ""1979"" VCAs used in its design.
Unlike other VCA compressors, the VSC-2 features four discrete 1979 VCAs across two channels. This plug-in version of the VSC-2 reproduces all the nuances of the original hardware and brings its smooth, clear, lustrous and accurate performance to your DAW.

・Quad VCA power
Each channel of the VSC-2 features one VCA in the audio path and another in the audio sidechain, allowing it to handle out-of-phase peaks without image shifting. The VSC-2 can change harmonic content with gain reduction and make-up gain, making this compressor one of the cleanest ""coloring devices"" for precision applications such as mastering and mix bus processing.

・Multi-mode, multi-color
Although the VSC-2 was developed as a stereo bus compressor, each channel has a full set of controls, making the VSC-2 a dual mono ""must-have"" for your mix. In addition, a mono-only plug-in version is also available. It also has unique and innovative features, such as the ratio control increasing proportionally to amplitude in Soft mode for smoother compression.

Soft and Hard Compression In Soft mode, the VSC-2 starts with a low ratio of 1:1 and slowly increases automatically to 8:1 depending on the strength of the signal, so even highly dynamic signals begin to compress almost inaudibly. Meanwhile, Brick mode transforms VSC-2 into an analog limiter, effectively cutting signal peaks for a tight, smooth tone and incredibly uniform transients.
