bx_oberhausen was developed from Brainworx Audio's extensive experience with analog audio equipment to creatively create world-class mixing and mastering plug-ins.

Its sound effectively recreates the analog synthesizer expander module that is loved and highly regarded by many musicians. Its sound relies on fully analog discrete circuitry and classic state variable 2-pole filters. It also features never-before-seen features such as a powerful unison mode, M/S technology, and Brainworx Audio TMT (Tolerance Modeling Technology) technology.

・Full analog modeling
The sound of an analog synthesizer, whether original or not, has been given the ultimate upgrade. Brainworx Audio has boosted bx_oberhausen to full polyphony up to 32 voices. That's twice as many voices as today's expensive polysynths, and while keeping the analog domain intact, users can create sounds that were impossible with the original hardware.

・Unison
Each voice can be combined to create a powerful unison. Combined with the unique TMT feature, it creates a rich and complex analog sound that no other virtual instrument can match.

・M/S Technology
Introducing unprecedented capabilities to the world of synthesizers, you can choose which parts of the sound pass through the filter section and which parts don't. It allows for subtle effects that build up the bass, to crazy stereo processing.

・Effects Section
These aren't just effects. We've put some of Brainworx's best products in the Effects Rack, proudly under the Brainworx brand. We also asked our partners at Maag to add the renowned AIR BAND feature. The signal chain in the effects section can be easily modified with drag and drop functionality.

・Rich modulation matrix
The modulation matrix opens up endless possibilities for sound design.

Adding frequency modulation to classic analog synths pushes the boundaries of creativity much further than the original synthesizers could.

・Arpeggiator
The arpeggiator has all the features, including swing parameters.
