Brainworx's bx_digital was the first commercially available Mid/Side equalizer plug-in. With the latest update to V3, it still reigns supreme as one of the most potent and flexible EQs for mixing and mastering, along with a wide range of advanced features.

Outstanding Control
This 11-band EQ has entire parametric filters available in dual mono, stereo, and M/S modes: stereo widener, mid/side decoder, pioneering Mono Maker summing tool, balanced Bass and presence Shifters, and advanced monitoring and metering for mastering work.

The latest version of bx_digital, V3, adds tools such as a new dynamic EQ module, API-style proportional Q filter, notch filter, extended high-frequency bands, and more versatile Bass and presence Shifters to help reveal hidden mix. The new "MIXER" module is designed to help you uncover confidential details in your mixes.

Special filters for more precise, cleaner-sounding mixes and masters.
V3 is not a "character" EQ. It uses ultra-transparent filters that minimize phase shift and frequency masking to provide more precise, focused mixes and masters.
Bass & Presence Shifters boost and cut adjacent bands oppositely, preventing the buildup of excessive spectral energy that can cause mixes to sound boomy, fuzzy, and overly edgy. It increases the punch of low frequencies while clearing muddy highs, mids, and lows, enhancing the presence of guitars and vocals, and softening cymbals.

Dynamic Equalization and De-Lessing
Version 3 upgrades the traditional de-esser to a more versatile dynamic EQ that can compress or extend any frequency from 20 Hz to 22 kHz.
It can remove the teeth grind of vocals and cymbals and automatically attenuate the low frequencies of acoustic guitar tracks (but only when the guitar is overdone). You can also boost the kick drum in a finished mix or suppress the high frequencies of vocal performance (but only when the singer reaches the top of their range).

You can solo the EQ bands to see more changes than ever before.
The V3's innovative Solo feature allows you to make smarter EQ decisions and work faster.
Auto Solo and Auto Listen switches add touch-sensitive functionality to gain, Q, and frequency controls. Automatically, solo changes are made to each band, and individual frequency response graphs are displayed for each channel to illustrate the results of your tweaks. You can see and hear your EQ adjustments like never before.

Proportional EQ and Transparent pass filters
V3's new Proportional Q filter gradually adjusts the bandwidth of the EQ as Gain increases or decreases, focusing boost and cut precisely where needed, with no trade-offs in neighboring bands. More slope options are available for High Pass and Low Pass to more accurately represent a track's high and low frequencies and eliminate noise and hiss. In addition, the new global Gain Scale control makes proportional Gain changes to all filters simultaneously, allowing for careful balancing when adjusting the perfect EQ magnitude.

Simple enough for mixing, robust sufficient for mastering
The V3 is available in separate versions for mixing and mastering, allowing you to increase or decrease power as needed. Individual tracks can also simplify operation with the "bx_digital V3 mix" plug-in, eliminating mid/side processing and additional meters.
V3 also has advanced imaging controls, such as independently panning the mid and side channels, widening the stereo image, swapping the left and proper channels, and centering the stereo image.
