The large Neve console sound has a mysterious charm that you can't get from a DAW. That was the case until bx_console came along. Brainworx's revolutionary plug-in delivers an amazingly realistic sound from the precious 72-channel Neve VXS analog console owned by producer/engineer Dirk Ulrich, founder and CEO of Brainworx.

- As with analog, no two channels sound exactly the same
A typical channel strip plug-in only models one channel of a mixer, with the same equalization curve, compression time, frequency, and phase response applied to each channel.
However, thanks to Brainworx's pioneering tolerance modeling technology, the 72 selectable channels of bx_console N reproduce all the different Neve VXS channels, modeling even the slightest differences between the channels of analog components. By incorporating the bx_console N plug-in into your mix, you can achieve the deep, wide, punchy ""multi-channel analog sound"" of the Neve VXS within your DAW.

The VXS is one of the most sophisticated consoles Neve has ever produced. It combines Neve's round, smooth, full-bodied sound with powerful EQ and dynamics sections. The EQ is clean, smooth, and allows you to boost and cut to incredible levels while still sounding musical.
The dynamic section has program-dependent release times and sidechain capabilities. bx_console N is equipped with a compressor/limiter, expander/gate, 4-band EQ, and high-pass/low-pass filters.

・Even more powerful than the original
bx_console N adds many of the original Brainworx modifications and new features that were missing from the original Neve VXS console. Adjust the compressor's secondary release time threshold to safely handle even delicate acoustic guitar tracks.
Crank up the compressor's sidechain's dedicated HPF control to make heavily compressed drum and electric bass tracks sound punchy, and keep level-controlled male vocals warm and round.
Switch the EQ from post to pre-compressor with a single mouse click, so you can craft a big, controlled bottom end for your bass tracks or full mixes.

・Achieve true analog sound with plug-in features
Some of the features added to bx_console N could only be achieved in the digital realm.
The new Mix control on the compressor/limiter is your ticket to creating monster drum sounds and thumping guitar tracks with parallel compression. The THD control can be boosted independently for each channel, adding rich saturation to vocal, bass, electric guitar and drum tracks, thickening and density without changing the gain stage. While mixing, you can alternately solo the mid/side channels of a stereo track with a mouse click on the plugin's toolbar, allowing you to instantly pinpoint unwanted distortion or phase issues. bx_console N is not just a channel strip, it is a complete 72-channel Neve VXS console.
