Oxford Drum Gate is equipped with an intelligent drum hit detection function. It performs a proprietary transient detection and then selects which drum hits you want to keep from the detected ones.

DETECTION
Reducing the impact of transients on a recording with a mixture of backbeats, ghost notes, cross-stick hits, etc. can be a pain.

Oxford Drum Gate has you covered! Simply click the Snare button to separate each component.

DECAY
Are you tired of your gate suddenly becoming unnatural? Want to keep the natural resonance of your toms while removing the bleed-through effect?

And it's super easy to do. The selective decay section allows you to process the resonance of each tom in real time depending on the strength of each detected drum hit.

LEVELLER
Want to improve the consistency of the dynamic levels of your drummer's playing?

Hard main hits and softer background hits. You can control each of these separately by setting separate target level ranges for these two types of hits.

MIDI
When you're augmenting or replacing an original drum performance with additional drum hits, you might want to preserve the dynamics of the original performance.
This is easy too, thanks to Drum Gate's hit detection and MIDI triggering capabilities.
