The Model 258t Dual Oscillator is a dual oscillator that outputs two independent continuously variable waveforms. The upper panel outputs a ""sine wave/sawtooth wave"" and the lower panel outputs a ""sine wave/square wave"" continuously variable waveform.

Both oscillators have the same controls and input/output jacks.

The oscillator waveform is controlled by the SHAPE knob, which is indicated by a curved arrow and a waveform icon. Turning the knob fully counterclockwise produces a sine wave, and turning it clockwise produces a sawtooth wave or a square wave. This control can also be controlled by an external CV signal.

The pitch is tuned with the FREQ and FINE knobs, and precise pitch control is possible by inputting an external 1V/Oct voltage.

The FM input with attenuator allows you to generate harmonically rich sounds through frequency modulation. Since there are two audio outputs, you can use FM from one to the other and vice versa to create complex sounds.
