The algebraic operations possible on the Model 257 Dual Control Voltage Processor are addition, subtraction, scaling, inversion and multiplication, and it also has built in functionality for using a CV to crossfade between two input CVs.
The Model 257 Dual Control Voltage Processor consists of two identical CV processors, each of which outputs a CV according to the following equation. The voltage value of this CV is determined by the voltage values ​​of the multiple input CVs and the settings of the three knobs.

(Va x K) + ((Vb x (1-M)) + (Vc x M)) + V offset = V_out

The algebraic operations possible with this module are addition, subtraction, scaling, inversion, and multiplication. It also has a built-in function for using CV to crossfade between two input CVs.

■Functions
■Attenuverter
The [Va Input] terminal (leftmost on the panel) is the input terminal for the CV input to the [K] knob (attenuverter).
The [K] knob can scale the CV (Va voltage) input to the [Va] terminal positively or negatively.

■Crossfader
The [Vb Input] terminal (second from the left on the panel) is the input terminal to the left side of the crossfader.
The [+. 5] switch adds 5V to the CV (Vb voltage) input to the [Vb] terminal.
The [Vc Input] terminal (fourth from the left on the panel) is the input terminal to the right side of the crossfader.
-M scales the Vb voltage from 1 to 0 depending on the position of the [M] knob.
M scales the Vc voltage from 0 to 1 depending on the position of the [M] knob.
The [-M/M Input] terminal (third from the left on the panel = center) allows crossfading between Vb voltage and Vc voltage.
The position of the [M] knob and the voltage input to -M/M Input are added together to control the crossfade position.

■Offset
Turn the [V offset] knob to add 0 to 10V to any combination of Va voltage + Vb voltage + Vc voltage.

■ Output
The [Vout] terminal (right end of panel) is the sum of the attenuverter voltage, crossfader voltage, and offset voltage.
