CELTIC ERA" is a collection of traditional Celtic instruments by Eduardo Tarilonte, the ERA series of cinematic sound sources producer. This is a revival of a previous release, which was sadly discontinued, with the addition of even more sound sources for rare instruments.
It offers a taste of Celtic culture through the sounds that have musically shaped the Irish landscape for generations. The instruments are perfect for traditional scoring with authentic sounds, film music, TV documentaries about the Emerald Isle, fantasy games, movie soundtracks, new age, and other creators who want to add unique sounds to their music. CELTIC ERA 2 is the perfect instrument collection for creators who wish to add a unique sound to their music.
CELTIC ERA 2 upgrades the Celtic instrument collection from its predecessor. Eighteen new instruments have been added, including the Bronze Age Irish Bronze Horn "Dord," Scottish Snare Drum, Asubio, Galician Ocarine, Wooden Low Whistle, and an updated GUI.
The approximately 25 GB library includes "Irish Whistle," which plays a unique melody recorded by Irish music players, "Uilleann Pipes," a type of bagpipe that blends the sounds of a chanter/drone/regulator (an accompaniment tube) with air blown by bellows, and "Wooden Low Whistle," a type of Irish instrument that plays a blend of the sounds of a chanter/drone/regulator (an accompaniment tube) with air blown by bellows. The 36 distinctive Celtic wind, string, and percussion instruments, including the "Uilleann Pipes" and the Irish frame drum "Bodhran," are recorded in rich detail and faithful to their original sound quality.
All instruments are elaborately multi-sampled using Kahayan U47 microphones, preamps, and top-of-the-line ribbon microphones with multiple dynamic levels, various articulations, round robin, actual legato samples, and dedicated glissando samples. And, as is customary with products created by Eduardo Tarilonte, 35 Soundscapes patches are included, which make fantastic soundscapes designed by layering pads, ambiances, harps, bells, and more.
Many of the instruments in the collection have numerous articulations, which can be switched in real-time using key switches. Decorative accents are also provided to create atmospheric phrases.
Instruments with sustained tones have beautiful legato, and some woodwinds, such as the "Irish Flute," can be switched between natural finger vibrato recorded as a sample and vibrato using modulation.
Some of them are recorded with two of the same instruments for more variety in sound.
For example, you can play a harp duet with different individuals. In addition, some percussion instruments have MIDI phrases mapped to reproduce realistic performances of both jig (6/8 time) and reel (4/4 time) styles with the touch of a finger.
In addition, "Acoustic Guitar" and "Irish Bouzuoki" have patches for strumming, allowing realistic chord strumming with MIDI phrases while specifying chord root and type (open/major/minor/7th).
All instruments are recorded as closely as possible with no reverberation, allowing for flexible sound creation in your Environment according to the project you are creating.
CELTIC ERA 2" brings the Nordic sound into the modern DAW-based production environment.
