CELTIC ERA is a cinematic sound source that is a collection of traditional Celtic instruments by producer Eduardo Tarilonte, who created the ERA series. The previous work was sadly discontinued, but it has been revived with the addition of even more precious instruments.
You can experience Celtic culture through the sounds that have musically shaped the Irish landscape for generations. It is the perfect instrument collection for creators who want to add unique sounds to their own music, including traditional scoring using real sounds, film music and TV documentaries about the Emerald Isle, fantasy games, movie soundtracks, new age, and more.
CELTIC ERA 2 upgrades the collection of Celtic instruments from the previous work. 18 new instruments have been added, including the Bronze Age Irish Bronze Horn ""Dord"", ""Scottish Snare Drum"", ""Asubio, Galician Ocarine"", and ""Wooden Low Whistle"", and the GUI has been revamped.
The approximately 25GB library contains 36 distinctive Celtic wind, string and percussion instruments, including the Irish Whistle, a unique melody recorded by Irish music players, the Uilleann Pipes, a type of bagpipe played by blending the sounds of chanters, drones and regulators (accompaniment pipes), and the Irish frame drum Bodhran, all recorded with rich detail and faithful quality.
All instruments are expertly multisampled using Kahayan U47 microphones and preamps and premium ribbon microphones with multiple dynamic levels, various articulations, round robins, real legato samples and dedicated glissando samples.
And, as is customary in Eduardo Tarilonte's products, it includes 35 Soundscapes patches that create fantastical soundscapes designed with layered pads, ambiences, harps and bells.
High expressiveness and operability Many of the included instruments have numerous articulations, which can be switched in real time with a key switch. Decorative articulations are also available, allowing you to play atmospheric phrases.
Instruments with sustained tones have beautiful legato, and some woodwinds, such as the ""Irish Flute,"" can be switched between a natural finger vibrato recorded as a sample and a vibrato using modulation.
Some instruments are recorded twice to achieve a greater variety of sounds.
For example, you can play a harp duet with different instruments. In addition, some percussion instruments have MIDI phrases mapped to them, allowing you to reproduce realistic performances with just one finger in both jig (6/8 time) and reel (4/4 time) styles.
In addition, ""Acoustic Guitar"" and ""Irish Bouzuoki"" have patches for strumming, allowing you to use MIDI phrases to strum realistic chords by specifying the root and type of chord (open/major/minor/7th).
All instruments are recorded with audio samples that are closed and contain almost no reverberation, allowing you to flexibly create sounds in your environment depending on the project you are creating.
``CELTIC ERA 2'' brings the Nordic sound into modern DAW-based production environments.
