Studio One was designed by talented German programmers who defined digital mixing. Based on the knowledge and experience gained from many years of digital audio development, it has been developed from scratch using only the latest technology and modern code. It is a next-generation 64-bit digital audio workstation that is constantly evolving to provide overwhelming sound quality and an intuitive and speedy music production environment without being swayed by history or fixed concepts. It offers unlimited tracks, intuitive editing tools, and advanced virtual instruments in an efficient single-window interface. You can achieve mastering right from the beginning on one screen. Based on drag-and-drop operation, you can concentrate on music production without complex menu hierarchies.

■Major new features

・Display lyrics live
By using the new lyrics display function in performance mode, you can scroll lyrics on a computer monitor or tablet on stage. You can adjust the size and placement of lyrics directly in the performance view. Lyrics are automatically added to your show when you transfer a song to the Show Page. If you need to adjust them for a live set, you can edit lyrics directly on the Show Page.

Lyrics display in Perform Mode turns any computer, tablet or display into a teleprompter, perfect for longer performances.

- Album Mode for Target Loudness
Get full control over the loudness of your album tracks while meeting required loudness standards. With loudness requirements becoming increasingly important to music producers, Studio One 6.1 adds Album Mode to the Loudness Optimization section of the Digital Release window on the Project Page.

In Album Mode, loudness is first analyzed for each track. Loudness optimization is applied equally to all tracks, preserving the relative loudness relationship between tracks rather than setting all tracks on an album to the same target loudness.

- Create Custom Colors
Control the color of your channels, tracks and events. Change cells to your preferred color using the handy color picker or numerically input RGB, HSL, and Hex values, then create custom color palettes that you can save, load, and share on PreSonus Exchange. We also include presets derived from other DAWs.

Feel free to experiment with custom colors. Changes are only fixed when you click on a cell. Importing songs with different colors will display them correctly and won't affect your own color palette.

Event Sync Points
Audio events and instrument parts now have an optional variable sync point, allowing you to add an additional timing reference if a transient or peak is between the start and end points. Setting a sync point couldn't be easier. It snaps to a transient in an audio event.

■ About the download card
The delivery will be a postcard-sized card containing the product code (serial number), user registration, and instructions on how to obtain the software, enclosed in a special envelope. If you register, you will receive a startup guide and key command guide that explain the procedures.
