WesAudio PHOEBE is a vintage NEVE1073 style mic/line/instrument preamp with digital recall. It is equipped with genuine British Carnhill input and output transformers, reproducing the sound of the legendary class A circuit mic preamp.

API500 module compatible ""ng500"" standard, analog circuitry can be digitally controlled via USB or _TITAN frame. _PHOEBE automation and digital recall can be performed from the plug-in on the DAW.

The class A signal path is 100% analog, but the convenience of being able to fully control all of it from the DAW is what many engineers have wanted. In addition, the front combo terminal supports mic/line/instrument input, and can be used by switching from the plug-in along with the input terminal on the API500 chassis.

75dB of mic gain ensures sufficient clean headroom even with low-output passive ribbon microphones, and the input impedance can be selected to get the best sound from any microphone. In addition, the Iron Pad gain stage allows you to attenuate the output up to -15dB in 1dB steps, allowing you to bring out a variety of textures from this unit.

This is an ideal preamp that allows you to control/recall the sound quality and texture of vintage NEVE, created by real analog circuits, not digital simulations, from the plug-in.
