FLAME / μMGTV

It outputs a gate signal (which can be divided) and velocity CV (0 to +5V) from a MIDI note.

μMGTV is a compact MIDI interface module that converts the gate and velocity of the received MIDI note signal into CV voltages between 0 and +5V and outputs them. It also works as a MIDI clock divider by switching the octave of the MIDI note and outputs the GATE clock. The velocity data byte resolution is 7 bits. Each output is equipped with a passive low-pass filter to smooth the output voltage.

*This product does not come with a TRS MIDI cable. If you are using a DIN 5 Pin MIDI cable (a common MIDI cable), please prepare a conversion adapter (TRS-B standard) separately.

Operation mode
By inputting MIDI note signals over four octaves, you can switch between different operation modes.

VELOCITY mode: Octave 1 (note numbers 36-47)
The velocity of the received note is converted and a CV voltage is output from the output corresponding to that note.

GATE ON / OFF mode: Octave 2 (note numbers 48-59)

While a note is held down, the GATE voltage is output from the output corresponding to that note.

GATE TOGGLE mode: Octave 3 (note numbers 60-71)

Outputs the GATE voltage from the output corresponding to the note. Each time a note is pressed, ON / OFF is switched.

MIDI CLOCK DIVIDER mode: Octave 4 (note numbers 72-83)

Converts the MIDI clock into GATE clocks with up to 12 different resolutions and outputs them.

*The lowest note number can be set to 36 (C1) or 48 (C2).

Also equipped with a global GATE output and a global VELOCITY output corresponding to all notes. The μMGTV can be programmed using the LEARN function of a MIDI keyboard or SYSEX data from a computer.

This module has two MIDI jacks (TRS-B standard mini jacks), INPUT and THRU. Data received at MIDI-IN is forwarded to MIDI-THRU and output. You can also connect an additional MIDI module here.
