FLAME / Quad CV Recorder

A module that stores and plays back knob or input CV with a 4-track CV recorder. Playback speed is variable.

QUAD-CV-RECORDER is a 4-channel CV recorder/looper module. It records/plays back the knob movements of each channel, as well as voltage changes from external analog sequencers, LFOs, envelopes, joysticks, etc.

The input/output CV of each channel can be set in the range of -5V to +5V or 0 to 9V. SOURCE selects the CV source of the channel to be recorded: CV input, knob, or both. ZOOM is for fine tuning the controller.

It can be synchronized with analog clock, MIDI, or manually punched in/out recording. The output is a smooth voltage with no audible components (16-bit resolution algorithm). When using clock/MIDI synchronization, you can select the level of CV complement (HARD/SOFT).

The maximum recording time per channel is 1 hour regardless of the selected sync mode. In addition to using each of the four channels independently, you can link two or four channels using the LINK function. This feature is useful for multi-track recording, or for recording/playing back controllers such as joysticks that output multiple CVs simultaneously.

Playback modes include LOOP, SINGLE (one shot), GATE, and SCAN, which can be triggered by pressing the buttons on each channel or by MIDI start/stop.

SCAN mode allows you to scan the recorded samples with the CV input or the knobs on each channel. You can manually change the speed and direction of playback (reverse, randomize, stutter). The start and end points, and the speed of the playback or loop can be set by CV or knobs.

The memory is battery backed (CR2032 included with the unit).

The software can be updated with MIDI Sysex dumps.

A MIDI adapter is included to convert the unit's mini jack to DIN5 pin.
