A second-generation model that further evolved the YFH-8315G supervised by Wayne Bergeron. The lead pipe screw made of phosphor bronze, the heaviest of Yamaha's flugelhorns, is used, and the bell is made of two pieces of gold brass. Furthermore, by lengthening the lead pipe, it produces a richer and more presence sound.
The newly designed valve casing, which has been thoroughly analyzed for everything from the materials to the struts, has achieved an optimal blowing feel that allows the instrument to play efficiently.
The mouth pipe uses an innovative design "Malone pipe" that makes the high range blowing feeling and pitch more accurate. Furthermore, by shortening the pipe and using a lot of brass, we have achieved a free-playing feeling and a traditional tone with a sense of color.
The screw is also newly designed in a bale shape, making it easier to aim for high frequencies in addition to making the points of sound clearer. In addition, by using phosphor bronze as the material, it achieves a tone with more presence, and features a brilliant high range and a rich midrange tone.
