A digital multimode filter module that uses a 14-pole Z-PLANE filter.

Rossum Electro-Music Morpheus is a filter module that fully harnesses the power of the 14 Pole Z-Plane filter developed by Dave Rossum for the E-MU Morpheus.

Morpheus contains a 'cube' of over 280 different filter configurations. The cube visually represented on the display consists of up to 8 complex filters, each positioned at a corner of the three-dimensional cube. Morpheus has the ability to smoothly interpolate between the 8 filters in the cube's 3D space.

Due to processor limitations at the time, the original Morpheus was capable of real-time morphing in one dimension. The frequency and transform dimension interpolations were set at note-on and remained static after note-on and could not be changed. But even with that limitation, Morpheus has delivered an unparalleled sound to this day.

The Morpheus filter module allows real-time CV control in all three dimensions, giving you dynamic stereo sound like you've never heard before.
