Rossum Electro-Music / Morpheus Silver

This is a digital multimode filter module that uses a 14-pole Z-PLANE filter.

Rossum Electro-Music Morpheus is a filter module that fully utilizes the power of the 14 Pole Z-Plane filter developed by Dave Rossum for the E-MU Morpheus.

Morpheus contains a ""cube"" of over 280 different filter configurations. The cube, visually displayed on the display, is made up of up to eight complex filters, each placed at the corner of a three-dimensional cube. Morpheus has the ability to smoothly interpolate between the eight filters in the three-dimensional space of the cube.

Due to the limitations of the processors at the time, the original Morpheus was only capable of real-time morphing in one dimension. The frequency and conversion dimension interpolation was set at note-on and could not be changed after note-on and remained static. However, even with that limitation, Morpheus has provided unparalleled sound to this day.

The Morpheus filter module allows real-time CV control of all three dimensions, providing a dynamic stereo sound never heard before.
