For over 60 years, Moog's Theremin has captured the imagination of performers and audiences.
For the last 20 years, Moog's Etherwave Standard and Etherwave Plus have raised the bar for performance in theremin design.
Now, the best-selling Theremin has been updated and reborn as the Etherwave Theremin.
""Detachable Microphone Stand Adapter"" compatible microphone stand: 5/8 inch diameter
Control sound without touching
Without reeds, keys or strings, the Theremin completely changes the image of an instrument. It is played only by the movement of the body when approaching the instrument, giving the impression of evoking music from the heavens. The combination of hands, body, environment and instrument has given the performer unprecedented expression.
Bob Moog was attracted to the elegant simplicity and unparalleled expressiveness of the Theremin, and built his first Theremin at the age of 14 and completed the design of his last Theremin at the age of 70. The new Etherwave Theremin inherits this legacy while being refined for the modern Theremin performer.
Faithfully reproduced Bob Moog's Theremin design
5 octave accurate range and balanced tone spacing for advanced playability. New analog electronics improve bass response while following Bob Moog's Theremin circuit design.
The sophisticated cabinet features hand-finished hardwood and an easy-to-remove plated brass antenna. Rear panel I/O connections and a detachable mic stand adapter allow for quick setup.
Dynamic tracking and control of analog audio processing directly from the Theremin
Easy-to-access controls on the front panel allow you to sculpt the tone and tune the antenna response to suit your playing style and environment (advanced players can go further via the calibration access panel on the top of the unit).
The front panel features a headphone jack with dedicated volume and mute button, so you can activate the headphone output while muting the main output.
Connect to an analog synthesizer for a whole new playing experience
In addition, the Etherwave Theremin can be directly connected to and controlled by other modular, semi-modular, and Eurorack synthesizers via the CV terminals. By connecting to the Etherwave Theremin's 3.5mm pitch CV, volume CV, and gate CV terminals, you can control synthesizers and effects while playing the Theremin, giving you a whole new playing experience.
The Etherwave Theremin offers outstanding sound, playability, and control for beginners and seasoned professionals alike, taking your sound to a new dimension.

About the mute switch 1/4"" (ts). The footswitch can be either a momentary or latching pedal. A normally closed momentary footswitch will mute the instrument until you hold down the footswitch.
A normally open momentary pedal requires you to hold down the footswitch to mute. Some foot pedals have a polarity switch that allows you to choose between normally open and normally closed operation.
