Ivory II Studio Grands is a virtual piano sound source that records two "Studio Grand" pianos meticulously maintained in two studios in California and Connecticut, USA, which have produced numerous Grammy-winning and nominated works.

More than just a huge collection of samples, Ivory II Studio Grands have an amazingly natural sound and piano-like behavior. Every detail and nuance of each model has been realized in software with years of Synthogy programming and DSP technology. Works as a plugin or standalone.
Ivory II Studio Grands is the largest in the series, with 24 velocity levels and over 50GB for each model, with a total library of 112GB. Release samples and soft pedal samples have been further enhanced, resulting in the most detailed sound in the Ivory series.

The Ivory II software has also been updated to v2.5. Along with improvements to the piano engine, we've added new features such as support for MIDI CC assignments, high-resolution MIDI velocity, new half-pedal control, and a unique "Shimmer" to adjust sustain and decay. These features are also available on other Ivory II series.

Steinway Model B
Power Station NE, Waterford, Connecticut
The Steinway B is one of the most recorded pianos in history and the most requested model for the Ivory series. It offers a unique balance of multifaceted sound, size and power that suits all styles of music. It can be said that it is the ideal piano instrument in the studio. No wonder Steinway himself called it the "perfect piano".
For recording, Steinway B models were selected directly at the Steinway factory in Astoria, New York, with the generous cooperation of Steinway & Sons™. Each sample recording session features a piano that has been serviced, adjusted and tuned by Steinway's finest concert technicians, and is tuned on the spot to ensure the best possible tuning during the recording session.
Recording took place at the Power Station NE, which features a classic live room. This room acoustically reproduces the sound of New York's finest Power Station/Avatar studio down to the last detail. Engineered by Mark Donoghue, Synthogy's team of experts has worked meticulously to capture every nuance and detail of this extraordinary instrument.

Bsendorfer 225
Firehouse Recording Studios, Pasadena, CA
The Bösendorfer 225 Grand Piano delivers a deep, reverberating tone and a perfect balance that never loses clarity in every register. At 7 feet 4 inches, it's longer than a typical studio grand and has four additional keys in the low end. Appearing in numerous Grammy-winning and nominated recordings, the piano holds a special place in recording history.
The recording session was engineered by Tony Shepard and was performed in the fully equipped Studio A at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena. In a historic room, the sound with awe and weight is fully recorded.
