ABM 3255C is a vintage style hardtail bridge. At first glance it looks classic style, but the invisible parts have been updated to a modern style to produce a higher quality tone.

The 3mm thick bell brass base plate and nickel plated saddle produce the best tone with ""Twang"".

Vintage style saddles make it easier for the tuning to move with tremolo operation. However, at the same time, the resonance of this saddle creates ""Twang"", which is why it is loved.

ABM's premium vintage saddles have the resonance of the original saddles, but also have excellent tuning stability. They achieve a tone closer to the vintage style than many modern style saddles that seek tuning stability.
The string holes in the plate are precision crafted, greatly reducing the risk of string breakage.

Furthermore, the horizontal string guides stabilize the strings, allowing the use of optimal saddle spring tension and minimizing vibration damping caused by the saddle.
The string spacing is modern and narrow (53mm between strings 1-6). Wide vintage spacing would cause the strings to fall off on a standard neck, so the narrow spacing improves playability.
