Mercury Audio/M72s - MK IVは、Mercury社のフラッグシップモデルとなるバルブ式スタジオマイクアンプです。Telefunken/Siemens V72sというビンテージアンプをベースに設計。
Mercury "M72s Mk.IV" is our flagship model valve type studio microphone amplifier.
The M72s is based on the Telefunken/Siemens V72s vintage amp, best known for the REDD.37 console used by George Martin for early Beatles recordings at Abbey Road Studios, and this module is the most popular product.
The M72s is based on the module used in the console, and its production numbers are small and very rare. The common V72s amplifier module was later modified and sold worldwide for many years as an outboard preamp. Working examples are extremely rare, very expensive, and in some cases in need of significant repair.
However, the unique musical tone of this amp makes it a valuable 'secret weapon' for many engineers who were able to acquire vintage modules.
Mercury Recording Equipment is proud to faithfully reproduce the M72s. We have over 20 years of experience with this amp, not just the operation of the unit. I feel like I have a better grasp of the overall sound.
