Mercury Audio/EQ-H1 - MK IV is a parametric equalizer featuring a passive EQ circuit with a single-ended gain-making amplifier topology based on the vintage Pultec EQH.
The Mercury EQ-H1 features a passive EQ circuit with a single-ended gain-making amplifier topology based on the vintage Pultec EQH.
The Mercury EQ-H1 does not rely on negative feedback and the associated phase and dynamic distortion, allowing it to achieve musically satisfying results that active or parametric EQs cannot. Like all Mercury products, the EQ-H1 has transformer-balanced (XLR) inputs and outputs.
The only modern changes to the original are a stronger and more stable power supply, DC instead of AC heater power, and two additional frequencies for wider range and more flexibility.
