The Ampster is an amp/speaker simulator and DI that can complement or replace your current amp, and is a tube-driven, fully analog unit with the same controls as your amp. It responds to your performance in the same way as a full-size amp, and allows you to shape your sound with the feeling of using an amp.
Like a guitar amp, it has standard EQ (Bass/Middle/Treble), pre and post volume/gain controls (Master & Gain), and Presence control, housed in a solid metal box.

The Cabinet switch footswitch toggles between two cabinet simulations (2x12 open cabinets/4x12 rose back cabinets).
The state of the cabinet simulation can be confirmed by the color of the LED indicator (the LED blinks when muted).
The rear-panel Link jack provides a direct output of the buffered guitar input signal, which can be sent to a guitar amp. You can use it for monitoring, or you can create a sound by mixing it with the signal from the balanced DI output.

The Send/Return jack can be used like an effects loop on a guitar amp, making it ideal for spatial effects. In addition, a low-end adjustment is possible with a Voicing switch with three positions.
The Remote jack, which allows you to switch between cabinet simulation types with an external footswitch, is great for switchers with footswitch controls like the Octaswitch “The Strip”.
