It goes beyond all previous tools by adding new possibilities to the industry-acclaimed OPUS engine, with unprecedented filter modulation, a wide range of effect racks, and a whole new range of post-production and mixing tools. FORBIDDEN PLANET offers the potential to define the future of synthesizers with its unique OPUS engine with fully customizable presets.

The idea for FORBIDDEN PLANET began when producers Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix started developing EASTWEST's first fully-featured synth collection, breaking away from the traditional synthesizer structure and combining electric synth layers with orchestral, world instruments, choral samples, FX, and more. The aim is to establish it as a completely new sound palette for the future, not a traditional one.

Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix, producers of the Quantum Leap (QL) series, were not satisfied with almost all synthesizers that existed until now.

In fact, they were dissatisfied with the fact that the proportion of included patches that can be used normally is extremely low in conventional synthesizers, and patches that seem to be merely filler patches are scattered throughout.

Using the newly developed proprietary new OPUS engine provided by FORBIDDEN PLANET, we have covered all the tools necessary to achieve the ultimate sound, bringing infinite inspiration like a movie. The core sound library was meticulously captured using a state-of-the-art analog signal chain to create the fattest analog synth on the planet.
