""REAL HANDPAN"" is a software sound source that plays the handpan, which is now one of the most popular percussive instruments, despite being a new instrument that appeared in the early 2000s. In cooperation with Wolfgang Ohmer, one of the famous handpan players, a realistic virtual instrument with various playing styles was created that perfectly captures the unique sound character of the handpan, which is based on the Caribbean steel drum and the Indian ghatam.

Wolfgang Ohmer's many years of experience as a handpan player allow him to understand how to make the most of the special sound characteristics of this instrument. You can switch and play important playing techniques to create realistic melodic and rhythmic passages by key switching. With up to 57 velocity groups per key, the characteristic sound is reproduced in detail. Since the individual sampled is the D minor scale (Kurd 9), the percussive sound is mainly in the D key, and all basic playing techniques such as sustain can be played chromatically. In addition, pads are included that can be switched or blended with the original handpan sound that was accurately sampled. Other features include modulation options and effects, allowing you to create amazing soundscapes.
