""GALAXY II GRAND PIANO / KP4"" is a piano sound source that includes the sounds of three of the most famous concert grand pianos: the Steinway D, Bosendorfer Imperial, and 1929 German Baby Grand (Bluethner 150).

The sounds are composed of more than 6,000 types of 24-bit samples, including multiple velocities (up to 13 layers), release samples, and hammer/pedal/damper/string noise sounds. In addition to sound control such as support for sustain/sostenuto/una corda pedals, dynamic range, sound color, fine tuning, stereo width, convolution reverb, velocity curve adjustment, low key intensity setting, and grand piano ""lid opening adjustment,"" it is equipped with a warp engine that allows sound design beyond conventional pianos, and it is also possible to ""distort"" the sounds of famous instruments and ""mix pad sounds.""

Recorded Instruments
Galaxy Steinway 5.1

The world's most famous concert grand piano, the Steinway D 270, was recorded at Galaxy Studios in Belgium. The piano used for the recording was selected by studio owner Wilfried van Baaren himself from among dozens of Steinways. The recording was done in 5.1 channel surround and stereo, with a huge number of microphones set up to capture the size and dynamic range of the piano.

Vienna Grand Imperial

Sampled from the Boesendorfer Imperial 290 grand piano. The Imperial 290 model is a 9-foot, 6-inch grand piano, known for its powerful soundboard and extended keys. These extended keys resonate to enrich the sound, and are also added to deepen the vibrato by resonating with other strings when the damper pedal is pressed. With this product, all of these extended keys can be played.

1929 German Baby Grand

Sampled from the 1929 ""Bluethner 150"". The Bluethner is very popular in the pop world, with many performers, including Brahms, Tchaikovsky, and Wagner, owning Bluethner pianos. It was used on the Beatles' album ""Let it be"" on ""Let it be"" and ""The Long and Winding Road"". The Bluethner produces a warm, familiar, vintage sound.
