The UT FET47 is a condenser microphone that delivers the classic 47-style sound at an affordable price without compromise. It uses a custom Cinemag transformer, so you can get the sound that everyone has been looking for.

The UT FET47 features a custom Cinemag transformer, a custom Heiserman designed HZ series capsule, vintage polystyrene capacitors, and NOS (New Old Stock) FETs.

■Featuring Heiserman Designed capsules.

The UT FET47 is a new take on the classic K47 German style capsule design in collaboration with the already highly acclaimed Eric Heiserman. Eric worked with the United team to develop this new capsule from scratch. It's open, clear and very three-dimensional sound. Everything from the sourced Mylar film to every single screw was meticulously analyzed and the expected sound was achieved after a process of several months.

While many of the design aspects of the HZ series capsules are trade secrets, one thing we can reveal is the matched dual backplate. This is the HZ series' matching process, which promises to provide precise and consistent quality in different units. HZ series capsules are not mass-produced, only a few are made at a time to be rigorously tested.

■Custom Cinemag Transformers.
When developing the UT FET47, we auditioned many models that replicated the original German transformers. We finally settled on the Cinemag transformers from California. Cinemag's answer to classic parts is a work of art. The big, heavy transformers are made from nickel and steel ""striped core"" and wound to the original specifications. The humbucker design ensures clean, quiet operation.
