Critter & Guitari's ""Organelle S"" is a new style of ""music computer"" equipped with the Pure Data sound engine, a Cortex processor (1.2GHz/quad-core, 64bit), and 1GB RAM.

By loading patches created with Pure Data, you can use the Organelle S as a synthesizer, arpeggiator, sequencer, drum machine, sampler, and effecter.

By connecting peripheral devices to the USB port, you can use the Organelle as a computer and design and modify Pure Data patches.

It is a music tool that allows you to experience the infinite possibilities of music creation and the joy of playing.

The Organelle S is a more compact model than the higher-end Organelle M, omitting the built-in speaker and battery operation.

With the Organelle S, you can explore new sounds and try new ways of making music. Combining playfulness and intuitive controls with a powerful and flexible sound engine, a new instrument with endless musical possibilities and fun to play has been born.

At the heart of the Organelle S's sound engine is a high-spec computer that runs your patches. On-board hardware for sound input and output, mappable knobs, keys, and buttons, and patches turn the Organelle S into a versatile synth, effect, sampler, and more.

The Organelle S comes pre-installed with a set of popular default patches, and additional patches can be loaded from a USB drive. Just download an infinite number of patches from a growing community on the web, transfer them to a USB drive, reinsert it into the Organelle S, and play.

You can of course create your own patches. Patches can be created or edited directly on the device. Connect your keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the Organelle S and start customizing. Run patches created in Pure Data*, a visual programming environment for computer music.

Create patches or modify existing patches and share them with the community. The Organelle S was built with the community in mind. The entire system is open source software and designed to be customizable at every level.

-Infinite synth sounds at your fingertips
The Organelle S is a small, easy-to-use, dreamy instrument that can perform any kind of sound synthesis you can imagine. The Organelle S excels at sound synthesis. The pre-installed or user-shared patch list offers a wide range of synthesizers, from additive/subtractive synthesis, classic wavetable sounds, granular, physical modeling, ADSR envelope style, FM synths, and more. Plus, there's always the option to create your own synths in Pure Data, making the Organelle S an extremely flexible and powerful synthesizer.

-Effects processor
The Organelle S has incredible capabilities for sound processing and sampling. Many patches have been developed that take advantage of the Organelle S's ""stereo sound input"". This means that the Organelle S can also be used as a pedal-style effector for guitars. Granular/glitch and spectral effects can be applied to any input sound source.

You can also record samples from the built-in microphone or line input and process them in a variety of ways. There are many creative ways to build completely new sounds, including resampling, granular, and arpeggiated.

Tap out rhythms on the keyboard or let the patches generate beats to turn the Organelle S into a great beat machine. The Organelle S is also great for playing samples in real time. There are plenty of patches to match different tempos for any occasion. Polyrhythms, beat juggling, generative rhythms, recording samples and manipulating rhythms, or just wacky little sequences. The Organelle S will never miss a beat!
