AxLabs / Tone Claw Locking Spring Claw Nickel

A sturdy locking spring claw designed to secure the spring in the spring hanger. CNC machined from solid brass, the Tone Claw is four times heavier than conventional claws, improving sustain and tone quality while preventing the spring from coming loose during arm movements and ensuring tuning stability.

Traditional pressed tin claws (spring hangers) have a small contact area between the spring and the claw, and the claw itself is thin, so the vibration energy transmitted from the sustain block through the spring is small by the time it reaches the claw. The Tone Claw's locking clamp plate combined with the fitting post (where the spring hoop contacts) significantly increases the contact area between the spring and the claw. This vibration energy from the spring is transmitted to the Tone Claw, then folded back through the spring and transmitted to the block again, improving sustain.
The kit includes all the hardware needed for installation (4 high-quality steel springs and 2 claw mounting screws). The adjustable ground solder tab has been upgraded to allow you to switch between the two mounting holes depending on the orientation you need.
