GREAT RIVER / EQ-2NV

The GREAT REVER EQ-2NV is a digitally controlled analog parametric EQ adapted from the classic British "1081/1083" type design.

■Parametric Equalizer ■2ch It offers a similar topology to the vintage 1081/1083 models, but with welcome improvements. The newly designed class A discrete single-ended amplifier and true inductor/capacitor (L/C) circuitry give the vintage models more musical clarity and improved dynamic range. The output section features a unique discrete class A balanced circuit. To make life easier in the studio (and on the road), the EQ-2NV is specifically designed to integrate with the patch loops of Great River NV series microphone preamps. The front panel input selector/sensitivity switch can use either the signal from the EQ-2NV's transformer-coupled line input (+8dbm to -20dbm) or the patch signal from the NV preamp. When connected via the patch loop, the four EQ sections are inserted between the first gain stage (with level control and metering) of the microphone (or DI) input and the preamp's output gain stage and "big iron" transformer (with level control and metering).
