Launched in 1970, the 1073 quickly became the microphone preamp of choice for leading producers and engineers, and has since become the world's most desirable preamp. To this day, designed and manufactured in the UK by AMS Neve, its unique tone, warmth, low-mid punch and subtle harmonic distortion make it the most prestigious front end for recording in studios of all sizes. The 1073OPX continues the 1073 lineage, featuring eight legendary preamps in a 2U rack unit. Front and rear connectors provide comprehensive connectivity to any studio/live/broadcast environment, and the latest remote control software provides bidirectional control of all settings with save/load functionality and Total Recall. Microphone input sources benefit from a Marineair transformer-coupled input stage, allowing sources to be connected directly to the front-mounted mic/line/DI inputs for recording in the studio's control room. The optional 1073OPX USB/ADAT card can be installed as a fully standalone I/O interface or to digitally expand an existing ADAT-enabled audio interface with ADAT optical connectivity.
