Launched in 1970, the 1073 quickly became the mic preamp of choice for top producers and engineers, and has since become one of the most attractive preamps in the world. Designed and manufactured in the UK by AMS Neve to this day, its unique timbre, warmth, low mid punch and exquisite harmonic distortion make it the most prestigious front for recording in studios of all sizes. The 1073OPX inherits the 1073 pedigree and features eight legendary preamps in a 2U rack unit. Front and rear connectors provide comprehensive connectivity to any studio / live / broadcast environment, and state-of-the-art remote control software controls all settings with save / load capabilities in both directions with Total Recall. The mic input source benefits from the Marinair transformer-coupled input stage, which allows you to connect the source directly to a front-mounted mic / line / DI input for recording in the studio's control room.

With the optional 1073 OPX Digital Option Card, it can be used as a complete standalone I / O interface or as a remote preamp in a live room with a complete latency-free monitor cue mix signal path.
This optional digital I / O card comes with Neve's mastering-grade converter, which allows up to 192kHz / 24-bit A / D conversion over a USB connection, as the primary audio interface to a connected DAW-enabled computer. It can also be used as a primary and secondary Dante connection for Audio-over-IP applications.
