AMS Neve / 1073N

A microphone preamp unit that can be retrofitted into the 80-series Neve classic console. The 1073 microphone preamp faithfully reproduces the circuitry of the legendary 1073 microphone preamp while incorporating additional functions for the modern era.

■The 1073 Classic in the Modern Era Designed and manufactured in the UK, the modern 1073N is engineered to the specifications of the original, with matching components to faithfully reproduce the sound. The 1073N mic preamps in Class A design feature a 3-band EQ (fixed HF plus 2 switchable bands with cut/boost function) and a high-pass filter. The combination of the 1073N mic preamp and EQ adds warmth and depth to your recordings. The 1073N builds on the functionality of the 1073 Classic module with additional features such as a built-in DI input, I/O connectors for direct connection of microphones, instruments and other equipment, phantom power for powered microphones and a PSU for standalone use. It can also be mounted in a compatible rack/housing or retrofitted into an 80-series Neve classic console. ■Features ・Dedicated Neve Marinair transformers are used for input and output ・Line input: Input impedance 10kΩ, gain +20dB to -10dB (5dB steps) ・DI input: Input impedance 10M ohms (PAD off)/10K ohms (PAD on), gain +80dB to +20dB in 5dB steps ・Output: Maximum output is 600Ω>+26dBu ・Output is transformer balanced and earth-free ・Distortion: Less than 0.07% at +20dBu output from 50Hz to 10kHz ・Frequency response: ±0.5dB from 20Hz to 20kHz, -3dB at 40kHz
