A compressor that perfectly reproduces the aesthetics and sound of the vintage NEVE 2254.

■ Vintage style compressor
The COMP-54 mk3 is a single channel vintage style compressor. As with vintage equipment, the signal path uses only discrete components. The inputs and outputs have a transformer-balanced configuration, and a luxurious class A circuit design with a third interstage transformer.

The most attractive feature is the universal sound that reproduces the smooth and sweet classic sound of NEVE 2254 designed in 1969 as much as possible.

It is also possible to insert an equalizer unit (sold separately) such as EQ-73, and it is also possible to form a channel consisting of a preamplifier, EQ, and compressor made by the Golden Age Project.

■ Difference between mk2 and mk3 versions
-Sturdy and reliable rotary switch
-New knob with improved operability
-The insert point for the GAP EQ unit (EQ-73) has been changed just before the make-up gain. This improves the SN.

-Equipped with a 3-frequency side chain filter. One position is 7kHz, and analog tape-like tape compression simulation with limiting only to high frequencies is possible.

・ Analog meter with good visibility (output and gain reduction amount can be switched and displayed)
・ Stereo operation is also possible by linking two COMP-54s.
・ Independent XLR and TRS phone input / output are available
・ Equipped with 600 ohm termination switch
・ 24V AC adapter included as standard (PSE certified 100V for Japan)
・ Solid and robust chassis design
-Dedicated insert terminal for EQ-73 → The input / output of EQ-73 is an insert terminal, and it is used by connecting to the insert terminals of PRE-73, PRE-73DLX, and COMP-54.
