The top is made of high-quality solid spruce, and the back and sides are made of mahogany. It is a departure from the traditional style of the previous Performer's Edition, with a smarter head design, position marks, and a thin matte finish that does not impair the natural texture and acoustic performance of the wood, giving it a modern look while enhancing the original quality of the Maurice.
