The biggest features of the M80 are the newly designed Romans voice coil, ultra-thin Mylar diaphragm and custom output transformer made by AMI / TAB-Funkenwerk. This newly designed diaphragm can be converted into an electric signal with high efficiency without changing the "tone" that was lost in the conventional "heavy" diaphragm and voice coil, and the output made by AMI / TAB-Funkenwerk. The transformer produces the unique warmth and presence of good old analog audio.
The proximity effect of the low range is also moderately controlled, making it an excellent microphone that can be recommended not only for vocals but also for recording drums and bass.
