The 505 is a compact-sized locking Rotomatic tuning machine. The classic back lock type prevents tuning errors, while the gear ratio of 18:1 allows for precise tuning! It is a 3:3 specification and comes with a top tightening nut, washer, and screw.

You can connect an external device to sync the tempo. ・I/P Hi/Lo: Allows you to attenuate the input instrument signal. Use with instrument inputs that have a high output such as synthesizers. ・DC in: Connect a power supply. 9V center negative, 65mA. ・"Trigger in" socket: Allows you to trigger the bass drum, hi-hat and snare from an external trigger. ・OUT: Outputs the SNARE TRAP sound. Both the 1/4" and mini jack are the same mono signal. ■Controls ・SHAPE: SHAPE in the "snare" section adjusts the length of the snare sound. You can achieve anything from a short, sharp setting to a thick, handclap-like sound.・DRY: Changes the snare sound from a mild tone with room reverb to a harder, drier sound. ・HH 4s: The SNARE TRAP hi-hat is standard in 8 beats, but this switch changes it to an off-beat 4 beat. ・BD2: When turned fully counterclockwise, the second bass drum sounds on the 3rd beat. Turning it clockwise shifts the second bass drum. ・SEND: Sets the amount of delay that follows the snare sound. The delay is applied to "snare only". ・RATE: Changes the delay time to set the timing of the repeat. ・FBK: Sets the amount of delay feedback. High settings and low delay rates can make it more likely to oscillate. ・INSTR SIDE CHAIN: Enables the side chain of the SNARE TRAP unit. When enabled, the volume of the SNARE TRAP will be ducked every time an instrument is input. ・CUT OFF: Sets the cutoff frequency of the low pass filter. ・ON: An LFO can be applied to the low pass filter to modulate the cutoff. ・PAD: Switches the operation of the black rubber pad. You can choose between tap tempo settings and white noise fill-in. ・MIX: Adjusts the blend ratio between the drum beat and the input instrument. Turn clockwise to input the instrument, counterclockwise to increase the ratio of the beat. When turned all the way, one sound will be cut off. ・VOLUME: Sets the overall volume of the SNARE TRAP. ・LEDs: The left LED indicates that power is connected. The centre LED is an indicator of the tap tempo, and the right indicates the LFO speed. ■Current consumption: 65mA ■9VDC center negative (BOSS type) ■Features The beat sound is an analog/digital hybrid method, with a charming and characteristic lo-fi sound that is typical of Rainger FX. Snare Trap creates the sound itself, not a pre-recorded sample. The main snare is always placed on the 2nd and 4th beats, but you can use delay to add ghost notes. It is equipped with an edit function that adds a sound similar to room reverb, or a thick snare to a handclap-like sound. The kick always sounds on the 1st beat, and the second kick can be freely moved. This allows Snare Trap to reproduce any type of swing beat. The hi-hat can be selected from 8 counts and 4 counts. Snare Trap is surprisingly simple to use. After tapping the pad to decide the tempo, anyone can intuitively create a unique beat by adjusting the parameters of each sound. All parameters can be accessed from the buttons and knobs on the device, and no complicated operations are required.
