The Need for a Condenser Microphone
Condenser microphones are ideal for recording vocals and acoustic instruments and are the primary type of microphone used in recording studios and radio stations. The TM1 microphone captures far more detail than most dynamic microphones due to its wide, flat frequency response. Another difference between condenser and dynamic microphones is that condensers contain active circuitry that requires phantom power (+48 V) to operate. The TM1 can be powered using a mixing console equipped with phantom power.
