もういらないかも。

購入から5年くらい経ちました。今ではUADプラグインがアポロなしで使えるようになり、セールでは考えられないくらい安くなっています。他にもSSLプラグインの登場やその他アナログモデリング系の質の高いプラグインメーカーが増え、セールも頻繁に行われています。元々このホライゾンは収録プラグイン数が多いのが魅力的でしたが、今日日のDTMと呼ばれる環境で使えるものはほぼありません。ロックやポップス、トラップなんかのヒップホップ系などジャンル問わずに使えるのはRBASSくらい。アナログモデリング系は変なノイズを足す邪魔な存在になっています。そもそもこのホライゾンはSSLやAPI、Neveなどの定番のアナログモデリングは入っておらず、相当なこだわりがない限り今から買うのは悪手だと思います。これに収録されているアナログモデリングのプラグインにパルテックEQがありますが、Logic付属のそれとほぼ変わりません。UADプラグイン版を使った時に「これがパルテックが愛されている理由か」と初めてわかりました。正直ホライゾンの購入を後悔しています。遠回りをした気分です。
伝わる例えか分かりませんが、本物のギターアンプの挙動を高い精度でシミュレートしたKemper的な存在がUADなら、Wavesは安いマルチに入っているアンシュミです。マーシャル風ギターアンプ的な、二郎系インスパイアカップラーメンみたいな感じです。
ちなみにおすすめの買い物方法は以下の感じです。
アナログモデリング→UAD
デジタルなEQ、コンプ、リミッター→Fabfilter
ノイズ処理、マスタリング→izotope
定番過ぎてつまらない、と感じる方もWavesを買う必要はありません。別のメーカーのものを買ってください。DTMなんて言葉がまだなかったくらいの時はWaves一強で、それこそ最新最強のプラグインでしたが、今ではふた昔も前の音がします。知り合いが買おうとしてたら止めます。買った時は満足してたので星5で。今新しく買うなら星1か返品する方法を探します。

激安セールでHorizonが変えるならこれ一択かと。

最初はSILVERから入ったけど、痒いところに全く届かずGOLDへアップグレードしましたが
やはり美味しいところは届かず激安セールでHorizonへ。
ミックス、マスタリングは全然これでＯＫでしょう。
後は好みの問題で、単品で追加すれば良いと思います。
因みに私は空間系があまり好みではなかったので（別に全く悪くはないのですが）
Sound toysのEchoboyとValhalla DSP、Wavesのabbey road platesを追加。
abbey road platesは重たいけど良く使いますね。
その他H-EQも評判を参考に単品で入れたけど、これはほぼ使っていないです。
最近は自動で最適化してくれたり、わかりやすく周波数が目で見えたりしますが
音楽なので結局最後は耳。
YouTuberのおすすめを鵜呑みにしないほうが良いですね。
なのでHorizonを基準に足らない、好みではないものを追加っていうのが
一番無駄がない気がします。
